At anniversary, we give thanks

A full year has passed and Haiti continues to suffer under the hardships created by the natural disaster of last January 12th, 2010. At the anniversary of the earthquake, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the residents of Ridgefield and beyond who supported our town effort to send relief to those in need in Jacmel. We raised approximately $35,000 and were able to send funds to support the feeding program through the end of 2010. The expression of empathy and support from this town has been truly heartwarming, and we thank everyone who participated in one way or another, from bake sales to baby formula collections to monetary contributions, for supporting this important effort.
