How You Can Help

Phase I focuses on the emergent desperate need for monetary donations.  Proceeds from our fundraising efforts will support the immediate needs of:

  • food
  • water
  • shelter (tents, cots and lightweight blankets)
  • medical supplies

We are also looking for:

  • information and contact information for direct methods of transport via contacts in our community with private or corporate jets, U.S. Coast Guard connections, shipping contacts or any other routes which may surface.
  • leads to secure tents, cots and/or lightweight blankets for free or a discounted price.

As the issue of blocked transportation routes prohibits the transport of goods, the focus on monetary donations is the safest and quickest way to build a support system which can rollout over time as the logistical issues become resolved.

Phase II
Still to be solidified, Phase II will likely focus on the collection and delivery of items specifically requested by our Haitian contacts, in the form of clothing, hygiene, medical, cleaning and other supplies.
We will post these requests as they become available and when transport of such items is feasible.

Phase III and beyond
We hope to engage in long term, sustainable projects for Jacmel, in the form of the routine provision of goods and in a potential building project that may serve the children and orphans of the area.

The collection at Westy’s Self Storage is now complete!   1200 boxes will be leaving on a container destined for Port-Au-Prince, and arrive in Jacmel in approximately 10 days. Thank you to everyone who supported this drive.
